PAM: We saw Wicked.
CASPER: We sure did.
PAM: There were lots of animals in there.
CASPER: There sure were.
PAM: What did you think?
CASPER: I mean....
PAM: I know musical theatre isn't your thing.
CASPER: What?!
PAM: I'm joking.
CASPER: And so was I. It was amazing.
PAM: It was.
CASPER: I'm obviously personally affected by the animal subplot.
PAM: Understandably.
CASPER: So it was VERY 'edge of your seat' for me.
PAM: Understandably, yes. What did you think of the performances?
CASPER: Dr. Dillamond was heartbreaking.
PAM: How about the humans.
CASPER: (silence)
PAM: There were humans in this movie too.
CASPER: There's no denying that Cynthia Erivo is insanely talented.
PAM: I certainly wouldn't deny that.
CASPER: Did you see her in The Color Purple on Broadway?
PAM: (beat) Did you?
CASPER: (Silence) I saw clips.
PAM: Cynthia's performance is a guaranteed Oscar nomination at the very least.
CASPER: She did her own stunts!
PAM: I know!
CASPER: While singing live.
PAM: I know! I read that.
CASPER: I can't read, but I could tell while watching the movie that this is what was happening.
PAM: What did you think of Ariana?
CASPER: Ari?
PAM: Oh, you two are on a nickname basis now?
CASPER: She was wonderful.
PAM: I agree.
CASPER: I forgot all about her sticky personal life while watching the movie cause she was so good.
PAM: I agree.
CASPER: But then Boq would come on the screen...
PAM: I know. it was kinda hard to ignore.
CASPER: Yeah. But I didn't know she could sing like that.
PAM: She started in musical theatre.
CASPER: I've seen clips. I think once she became "Ariana Grande" she even sang the musical theatre stuff so breathy and poppy. I didn't know what to expect going into this, but I was pleasantly surprised.
PAM: She was funny, sounded great. Did an excellent job.
CASPER: The whole cast was stellar.
PAM: We're using the word 'stellar' now?
CASPER: And Jonathan Bailey!
PAM: What a cutie, right?
CASPER: It's gotta be tough for straight women because it's tough for me as a dog to know that I'm not his type.
PAM: You're not a lot of people's types.
CASPER: What?!
PAM: Did you cry during the movie?
CASPER: You know I cried.
PAM: I cried too. During the dance scene between the two female leads.
CASPER: I cried every 8 minutes.
PAM: I thought the set design was incredible and the fact that they were all BUILT for this film.
CASPER: Un real.
PAM: I saw the show in New York and...
CASPER: Oh, you fancy.
PAM: ... and I thought it was great. I thought the film was epic.
CASPER: It really was.
PAM: What's your score?
CASPER: Two paws up.
PAM: Wow!
CASPER: What wasn't to your liking?
PAM: I loved it. I'm giving it 9 fingers.
CASPER: (beat) What wasn't to your liking?
PAM: Was it the best movie I've ever seen? No. But I thought it was brilliantly made.
CASPER: So only the 'best movie you've ever seen' will get the full two hands?
PAM: I don't know, Casper.
CASPER: Whatever.
